Rest Day 2 : Tando Bone

Lovely lazy day doing not much but eating and hanging about. Had a language lesson from Colin and read a bit. Oddly I have no achey muscles after yesterday - think the heat helps...along with not sitting at a computer all day in frigid air conditioning.

A bit of excitement as we sat down to dinner this evening: a blaze has broken out on a ridge just north of us. It's high up above the rice fields (where burn off is common) so no way of knowing how it started. There are clove trees up that high - they are very oily and burn well. Fortunately the wind is blowing it away from us and there are some rain drizzles in the air. If I smell Xmas baking in the night we may have to evacuate!
